All students are required to complete both lower-division (100-299 level) and upper-division (300-499 level) General Education Requirements.

Lower Division (100-299 level)

-CSUDH does not require students to have all their lower division GE requirements completed as part of their admissions. To ensure you have met these requirements, there are two ways to verify:

1️⃣ We recommend you request a GE Certification ASAP from your Community College. You can verify through your unofficial transcript(s) if you have already received a GE Certification and will be located either at the top or the bottom. The following is an example:

‼ As a reminder, the GE Certification does not cover the Statutory Requirement. You can check your ARR to verify you have completed those requirements. Please refer to the example below:

Please reach out to your counselor at your community college if you have any additional questions.

‼ If you are not eligible for a GE Certification or still have courses showing red, you may still need to meet the requirement.

OR

2️⃣ You can check your Academic Requirements Report (ARR). If your ARR shows all green check marks like the example below, you may have already received a GE Certification or will not need to request it:

‼ If you see all red squares, the Registrar’s Office may still be evaluating your official transcripts.
